Make a great first impression and create the right environment for learning.

Your first call with the parent πŸ“ž

This is your opportunity to make a great first impression with the parent, build rapport and make it clear that you are here to support the student. During this call, you'll introduce yourself, learn about what the student is struggling with, explain how lessons will be run and confirm the details of your first lesson.

During your call you'll follow the prompts in the First Call Questionnaire ✨ to cover the following topics:

1. Introduce yourself + set the agenda ✍️

2. Learn about your studentπŸŽ“

3. Explain how tutoring works πŸ‘¨β€πŸ«

4. Organise the first lesson + cover our Cancellation Policy πŸ“… Β 

5. Wrap up 🀝

This questionnaire is accessible on your TutorCruncher dashboard - make sure to familiarise yourself with this questionnaire before your first call. It should take about 10 minutes to run through the questions on your call, once you've finished, you'll receive a copy of your responses via email.

Your first lesson sets the tone for your future lessons, allows you to understand your student's goals and struggles and helps you to create a plan for your lessons together.
