Hey there, I'm Adam. I graduated from Knox Grammar School in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.70, and on the honours list as an All-Rounder, achieving straight Band 6s and E4s in my extension subjects. I also duxed Geography at Knox, and came 2nd in both English Advanced and English Extension 2. I was recognised for my academic achievements with the Wilfred Hezlett Cary Prize for Excellence in Academics and Sports, Outstanding in Year 12 Studies and the Creative Writing Prize. This year I'm looking to challenge myself by studying a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Advanced Studies at USYD, participating in the Dalyell Scholars program.
I've always been passionate about learning. One of the reasons I most want to become a tutor is so that I can help other students to find the joy in learning, motivating them academically to produce their best results. I believe this personalised approach, combined with goal-setting, gives students exam strategies that they understand and know how to use effectively, whilst enhancing their subject knowledge.
Outside of tutoring, I'm really into music, and I'm always practising on one of my three guitars. If I'm not doing that you'll probably catch me reading some Australian literature, obsessively poring over cricket statistics or catching up with mates over a game of touch footy.
